TMEasy
implements client-server architecture with minimum
moving components. It uses latest information technology
tools and uses a small footprint database from Sybase,
named SQLAnywhere. Basically, the system consists of
three components, A. TMEasy Database B. TMEasy Batch
Server and C. TMEasy Client. Based on number of users
and database activity two types of hardware
configurations are possible.
TMEasy Client:
TMEasy client is the GUI (Graphical User Interface) that
users connect to and maintain data in database. The
system requirements for client machine are listed in
System Requirements section below. In generally any
computer that is able to run Microsoft Word or Excel
applications, should be able to run TMEasy client.
TMEasy
Batch Server:
TMEasy Batch Server is designed to run different
services of the application. These services include PDF
creation, budget updates, email of reports to clients
etc. These services keep polling the database for newly
approved reports or emails to be processed in the queue.
TMEasy Database:
MS SQL Server 2008 SQL Server 2008
was chosen as the database for TMEasy for number of
reasons. Ability to self-admin, self-tune and almost
zero admin environment
provides suitable choice for company of any size. Please
check out the system requirements section for
configuration requirements of the new machine.
Database
server and Batch Server on one machine: In this
setup, you have one server acting as both batch server
and database server. This kind of setup saves
maintenance and support costs. This set up is also
suitable for companies with less than 5 people using
TMEasy actively.
Database
server and Batch Server installed separately on LAN:
In this kind of setup the database and batch processes
are separately installed on two different servers.
Generally, in this kind of set
